Above Water

Experience paradise, your way. Life above (and on) water in Raja Ampat is as varied and surreally beautiful as it is underwater. Hop on a kayak and explore mangrove fringed bays, isolated lagoons, and the open ocean. Wayag’s limestone rock formations and islets will have you feeling like you’ve been transported into another world. Feel your worries slip away while lying on a secluded white sand beach.  One does not need to be a certified diver to witness the astounding beauty of the underwater world. Cool off by snorkelling and witness the incredible variety of corals and sea creatures unique to the marine reserve. In the mood for a challenge? The incredible panoramic view available to you after climbing Mt. Pindito is worth the sweat!

Note: Guests are requested to pay a harbor clearance and a Raja Ampat Marine Park entrance fee of € 150 per person to support management of the park.

Important: Due to the new local regulations we start our trips from Waisai (Pulau Waigeo). This is an 2 hours ferry ride leaving from the harbor in Sorong. The guests will be picked up from the airport in Sorong and guided on the ferry to Waisai. We advise our guests to arrive at the Domine Eduard Osok airport in Sorong early in the morning of the first day of the trip, or if possible, the day before. The ferry is goes twice a day, at 9AM and 2PM, the same schedule applies for the way back to Sorong.

Under Water

Mind-blowing. Astounding. Wonderful. We could go on for days about the bountiful dive sites along this route. Home to 75% of all known coral species, over 14 000 species of fish, manta rays, and sharks, Raja Ampat will delight everyone, from open water diver to dive professionals. From whales and sharks passing in the blue to tiny pygmy seahorses, you’ll witness the incredible diversity of underwater life at its finest. Raja Ampat’s signature limestone karst makes for some intriguing underwater features: spires, overhangs, windows, and caves hiding big groups of sweetlips all wait to be explored. Be warned: once you have dove in Raja Ampat, you’ll find diving anywhere else slightly lackluster.
